I come here almost every day. At first, it was to capture the vibrant colours, particularly the deep reds. Now as my interest in black and white photography grows I tend to search more for patterns of light and shadow.
I watched this scene for a while. The guy on the street would lift up a heavy box and then a detached head and a pair of arms would appear out of the shadow to receive it. I found it fascinating.
I love this statue in the doorway of a shop.
The lighting conditions in Fan Tan Alley are always difficult. It's very narrow and has harsh shadows. I keep trying to capture it well but I don't know if I'm getting anywhere.
Here's another attempt to capture Fan Tan Alley. It's crowded in places, and although most people were wearing masks I didn't want to linger very long.
A mural on the street. You sometimes get the feeling you can walk right into that shop.
That's my post for today. I hope you enjoyed the photos. Now I'm heading back down there with my camera to try again!
All photos were taken by me, @keithboone, for the #Monomad Photography Challenge by @brumest and @monochromes. Thanks very much for visiting!
Those pictures are top. I love that statue at the doorway, interesting angle.
Thanks so much, @stevenson7! I really appreciate your support!
Sure thing
That is a cool mural! I had to really look twice and then twice again. If you had not told me it was a mural, I would have never known. :))
Great shots and you are killing the mono!
Thank you, @dswigle, I'm really into monochrome lately :-)
Thank you, @pixresteemer!
Thanks a lot, @stevenson7 and @diyhub! You guys really made my post blow up, wow! 😃
