Hello monochromatic #Hive friends!... Today we had one of those ‘uncomfortably bright’ sunny mornings in my town... Not really my favourite mornings to take photos, as all those harsh lights and extreme shadows, make it difficult to manage the exposure and usually tend to disturb the visual context in the photos... But: "Against anything you have to face it and try to come out on top!"... So I took to the streets with my camera hanging on my neck and with the intention of dealing with the extreme sunlight... Come and have a look at my photos, also read my lines as always around these!...

¡Hola amigos monocromáticos de #Hive!... Hoy tuvimos una de esas "incomodamente luminosas" mañanas soleadas en mi pueblo... En realidad no son mis mañanas favoritas para hacer fotos, pues todas esas luces fuertes y sombras extremas, hacen que sea difícil manejar la exposición y por lo general tienden a perturbar el contexto visual en las fotos... Pero: ¡Contra todo hay que enfrentarse y tratar de salir airoso!... Así que me fui a la calle con mi cámara colgada al cuello y con la intención de lidiar con la extrema luz solar... ¡Ven y mira mis fotos, también lee mis lineas como siempre en torno a estas!...

When the sun shines early in the morning and there is no fog, people seem to wake up easily and try to get by with their eternal and permanent challenge to do what they can to get their daily sustenance... There is a lot going on, but there is an undeniable ‘sense of uncertainty’ that seems to hover in the streets and in every corner... Things as simple as electricity service and internet availability often fail, then small businesses feel the impact and their owners are negatively affected.... Then, without warning, things can go back to normal and the day goes on as everyone does their best to get by...

Cuando el sol brilla desde muy temprano y no hay niebla, las personas parecen desperezarse con facilidad e intenta salir adelante con su eterno y permanente desafío de hacer lo posible por conseguir el sustento diario... Pasan muchas cosas, pero hay una indudable "sensación de incertidumbre" que parece flotar en las calles y en todos los rincones... Cosas tan simples como el servicio de electricidad y la disponibilidad de internet, con frecuencia fallan, entonces los pequeños negocios sienten el impacto y sus dueños se ven afectados de manera negativa... Después, sin previo aviso, las cosas pueden normalizarse y el día sigue transcurriendo mientras todos hacen lo mejor posible por salir adelante...

Fascinating streets which give me something new to photograph every day... And just as there is human drama, there is also joy and some incipient activity aimed at maintaining ‘a certain normality’ at all costs... The struggle of the people here against the depression generated by the social, political and economic crisis is really noticeable and worthy of applause... Some even take the shortages of such elementary things as fuel and domestic gas in a cheerful way... Not to mention me, who often spends hours on the streets taking photos!... That's really ‘taking bad things in a good way’ now that I think of it!... hehehe :))

Son calles fascinantes las cuales me regalan algo nuevo para fotografiar cada día... Y así como hay drama humano, también hay alegrías y alguna incipiente actividad orientada a mantener "cierta normalidad" a toda costa... La lucha de las personas aquí contra la depresión generada por la crisis social, política y económica, es realmente perceptible y digna de un aplauso... Algunos incluso se toman de manera alegre las carencias de cosas tan elementales como el combustible y el gas doméstico... ¡Y ni que decir de mi, que suelo pasar horas en las calles haciendo fotos!... ¡Eso sí que es "tomarse las cosas bien" ahora que lo pienso!... hehehe :))

Perhaps if the ‘exodus’ of more than a third of the population (mainly young people) had not happened, the people of Montalbán would have enough optimism and strength to face the current problems with more equanimity... But the fact that we have many of our family members away from here is perhaps the most negative and difficult thing to handle in this whole complicated situation... However, as I wrote previously: ‘People are still doing their best to get by’... That's how we are!.... ;)

Quizás si el "éxodo" de más de un tercio de la población (principalmente jóvenes) no hubiese ocurrido, la gente de Montalbán tendríamos el suficiente optimismo y fortaleza para llevar los problemas actuales con mayor ecuanimidad... Pero el hecho de tener muchos de los miembros de nuestra familia alejados de aquí, es quizás lo más negativo y difícil de manejar en toda esta complicada situación... Sin embargo, tal como escribí previamente: "La gente sigue haciendo lo mejor posible para salir adelante"... ¡Así somos!... ;)

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.}

Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape 3.6.3.}
