MONOMAD CHALLENGE / B&W Self Portraits / ONCE UPON A TIME / MEMENTO MORI

This entire post is dedicated to the MONOMAD CHALLENGE and the BLACK & WHITE community.

As mentioned before along my posts, I am beyond happy to discover and being introduced to this great platform along with its amazing communities, I am facing myself being driven by so much enthusiasm & inspiration, every time i am navigating this innovative space. Exploring the beauty of all the photographs I am able to see especially here in this B&W community, as B&W was from the very beginning of my passion for photography close to my heart and need of expression, also as my path is paved by & with such an overwhelming content of photographs which I have never shared before, I am looking forward with a childlike enthusiasm to share my content with you.

Today i have decided that it might be nice if I am allowing you to know me a bit better & closer, so here am I sharing very few of my collection of self portraits taken over the years, in order for you to get to know who is behind the camera.

I must admit that i have not many pictures of myself, and that the "Selfie" concept is far away from my taste, and posing even further, yet I had moments in which I decided that a few pictures of me will be a good "memento mori" trough out my albums of the years, I prefer to use the saying "Memento Mori" as for me there is nothing more valid in this life but change, along with the evolution of one's consciousness, therefore we must die couple of times in order to be able to carry on evolving and to be able to capture more photographic memories with different perspectives of a new self, otherwise everything will be nothing but a loop, sort of like the Mobius loop in which Sisyphus has his walk along with his rock:).

I am doing my best to die even more, in order to eradicate that concept from my being. This being said, I leave you here with my "MEMENTO MORI" of the self portraits which marked few eras of my existence.
