Hey people of Hive!
It is a very long time since I have turned pictures of my in to black and withe pictures!
But now I was in a place that shouted B&W.
This is the engine and boiler room of the historical cruise ship the ss Rotterdam! It is an old Steam Ship from 1959 and it was very luxury in those days! It was made for the company, Holland America line who was sailing the Atlantic ocean from it's main port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands to New York! And what a beauty it is!
But for more information and to see the color pictures for referents I will put up a link in here!
And I am wondering how the B&W community is editing there pictures? or do you shoot your pictures in black and withe?
I alway shoot my pictures in RAW and edit them in lightroom!
for the black and withe conversion I have downloaded some lighroom plugins filter pack from the nik collection! there I have the Silver efex pro not sponsord btw :p
There are probably many of these filter plugins available! Do you use presets of plugins? So yes, witch one?
But for now, the pictures... there are a lot of them! maybe to much, i don't know! I am looking forward to your feedback and comments! thank you!
I am starting with the indoor swimming pool and all the pips running down there!
This is just engine and stuff! they have replaced the steam engine for two diesel powered engines! I really cant tell you any more witch component still was steam engine and witch was diesel engine! I was to busy taking pictures instead of listening to the guide!
Congratulations, your post has been added to Pinmapple! 🎉🥳🍍
Did you know you have your own profile map?
And every post has their own map too!
Want to have your post on the map too?
I must admit, very interesting photos! I haven't seen something new, different from the others for a long time.
It looks even more interesting in black and white!
I think these b&w works better to. The location was perfect for b&w. Thank you for reposting 🙏
Very interesting place.
Thanks for share and have a great day.
Thank you, I will do a post about the rest of the ship soon!
