This is my entry for the #monomad challenge - Tired Long Haired Dachshund

in Black And White3 years ago

I have this sets of photo taken from my visit to a Gaya Street Christmas Celebration last December. It's really been awhile that a public events has been organized for the last 2 years. Still it's not a fully operational events since there's a limit to enter the events ground so as to adhere the pandemic SOP set by the government. This event were held for two days and I plan to visit to document the environment. Since it's not a very large event like how it is during the pre pandemic, I just stroll around the outside perimeter of the events as I reluctantly to join in the long que to get inside. This happen for the second day of my visit as the first day I came early and manage to get inside just to find out that actually there's really nothing interesting for me to document except for the official stage ceremonies.

The second day of the events, I happen to came by these little long haired dachshund with heavily decorated with Christmas attire. She's actually a very frequent visitor and performer to this event as I recalled that I've seen her since year 2012 during this Gaya Street Christmas Celebration. Not only this event but also during the weekly Sunday Gaya Street Market. She's accompanied by her owner to stroll around showcasing her Christmas decoration. Now that I think about it, she's look very tired that day but still walk slowly parading her decoration. Sometimes I seen her stumble and stop until her owner came back to lift her up and urging her to continued walking. A very stark contrast from the first time i see her walking and parading energetically wagging her tails every time seeing a visitor stopping by taking or trying to touch her.

She's been a loyal visitor to Gaya Street and she's quite well-known to the public. I heard one of the visitor asking her owner how old is she and he said she's already 10 years old if I remember correctly his word. I have seen her since 2012 and maybe she's already a frequent visitor even before the year I saw her. 10 years is a long time for a dog and hopefully she can get more rest as age is coming up on her. I might have a photo of her younger days and might posted it here later as I have to look back on my archive for it. Have a great weekend everyone.
