Jesuit church of St. Michael the Archangel - Monomad

in Black And White3 years ago

Jesuit church of St. Michael the Archangel. I have described this beautiful place many times, but I have never done it in black and white. From a similar perspective, I'm interested in seeing similar buildings from a different angle.

This is the historical value of Belarus, but currently it is in a deplorable state.

Attempts to restore the church building were unsuccessful. The problem is lack of funding.

The building of the church was built in the 16th century. Once it was visited by Empress Catherine II. It was a landmark event. The monks prepared for her visit. They dressed the two boys in the robes of angels and presented her with a wreath on her head. She was very pleased and generously funded the church.

However, the historical relic is not currently funded. More precisely, they finance it, but not enough. After all, a couple of years ago, due to its own weight, the roof of the church fell.

This has led to a situation where serious repairs and restoration are required. Although throughout the history of the church, starting from the 16th century, it was neonocally restored.

The reality is this. But there are hopes to see this building in its original form. Local residents are writing petitions and it is likely that this beautiful building will be restored in the future.
