Kids photography _ monomad daily chalenge

My little guests today were the adorable siblings, Roya and Daniel. Their mother had booked a session with me, and I was thrilled to capture their sweet personalities on camera.

We set up the shoot near my studio's iconic windows, and thanks to the bright, sunny day, we had ample natural light. To enhance the illumination, I used a large reflector to bounce light back onto my subjects. However, for a particular shot, I placed a branch with a powerful light source behind the window to mimic the effect of sunlight. The frosted glass softened the light, so I decided against using a diffuser.

To capture their sibling bond, I positioned a chair and gave the little girl a book. Her brother stood beside her in a classic pose, creating a heartwarming image of protection and companionship. For a solo shot, I had the boy lean against the window. The bright setting was perfect for children, and I wanted to keep the atmosphere light and cheerful.

For a more seasonal touch, I created a minimalist winter scene using slices of pomegranate and snowflakes made from MDF and plexiglass. It added a touch of whimsy to the session.

Finally, we captured a more dramatic shot of the boy in a dark setting, using some of the clothes he'd brought along. A teddy bear was his constant companion, and he sat comfortably on a bench.

Thank you for following along! I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into my day. I believe these images truly capture the essence of childhood.
