Chandeliers

Oh, the joys of winter. When you cant be piky about the subjects you shoot and no matter where you go you see dry grasses, leaves, rocks and some seed pods. On the plus side... it is nice to go out and breath some fresh air on a misty day.

This was some giant Thistle (I am almost sure it has its own name) that grew by the fence of a pasture. Beautiful, almost as tall as me stems with some really thorny and sharp heads. In summer they have purple flowers and even more spiky stems and leaves.
That day they were are still covered in mist that disappeared only later in the day. Some some forgotten spiderwebs and it all reminded me of those fancy crystal chandeliers.
I wish I had my macro lens...

Great photos.

The first one was the one I prefer.

Have a great day.

Thank you :) I like it the most too.

I think the winter gives opportunity to see things we would not ordinarily see. Your first photo, especially, is quite striking! Wonderful focus and composition! Bravo! Love it! 😃

Thank you and I agree. Who would have looked in that in summer when there is so many pretty things around?

These photos are incredible! TheY look like solid silver jewelry with diamond sparkles! Very expensive jewelry!

And very short lasting ;)

That’s so sad! Good things never last that long!
