monomad challenge: november by the shore

the gray cold of November has set in as autumn comes to a close

while October was striking and colorful the changeover toward winter is muted and subtle

just a dusting of snow to remind us what we have coming

ice forms quickly on the pools of fresh water by the shore. then frost and snow form on the thin ice

the reeds will stand through the winter if they don't get covered in snow
