Congress Palace, Raúl Alfonsín Building and Passersby - Monomad Challenge [16 Pics].

We all know that this type of buildings with architecture of this style is worth admiring, admiring the work and also being in contact with history. I have previously shared color images of this area, of this palace of the national congress but the perspective changes when the images we observe are in black and white. So I have selected a series of photos that I liked the most from this hike to share with you today.

Everything is reversed when the absence of colors predominates and makes the images more meaningful, nostalgic, dramatic, sublime...

I already knew a few days before that I had to go to the Congress Square and take these types of photos, I was just waiting for a cloudy day. I had two glasses in my backpack (85mm & 17-55mm) and when I left work I stopped at the Congreso subway station.

Here we have a photo of the front facade from the avenue and another from further back, from the square.

The next photo is of the engraving of the name, I really like the edition I got for this shot and you can see part of the columns typical of neoclassical architecture. Together with two more images that make up this type of collage, which shows a couple walking and the left side of the building in the background.

In the other photo I tried to frame the dome of the building in the middle of those tree branches, I'm not sure if it was a good shot, I'll leave that to outside opinions.

Here you can see many details of this right side of the building, I also wanted to leave a part of a concrete bench at the bottom out of focus, I have no idea but I found it interesting in some way.

I added some shots of people walking around the area and this was the bench I mentioned recently. I think that having these buildings in the background also for this type of photos makes the composition very interesting and draws more attention to those who look at them.

There are many times that I have come to this place and I have shared photos of this with all of you over time, I know which are the most emblematic buildings but I have forgotten to look carefully in other directions. So I found this other building that doesn't stand out as much because it's not on a corner but when I saw it it caught my attention.

This is the President Raúl Alfonsín building.

I got a little closer to get better angles and I was able to take one of the top, where that big clock is and you can see the statues ringing the bell.

Beautiful and giant balcony in the company of branches. After reading a little about this building I found out that everything was built with materials brought from Spain and Italy and that the only thing that was built with national materials was the main door.

Other images of the first floor of the buildings, details, columns, windows and balconies. It was built between 1924 and 1927 as a biological institute.

Saludos :)

Tremendous postcards of the congress, undoubtedly with impressive and imposing architecture before our eyes.
