Monomad - Charity Photoshoot

This is my weekly entry for the #monomad challenge. I know it runs everyday, I just don't want to spam the group or my blog... entering once a week is enough keep things interesting.

Well... its been a busy few weeks, but now we are past Xmas (and the rest of that nonsense) and are now getting on with the new year. It means I finally have an opportunity to get some editing done. And boy do I need to get a move on, I still have 8 sets of images to do, and I have another photoshoot fast approaching...

This series of images was taken way back at the start of December last year. It was a charity event arranged by @brianbrogan1960 (and involved the usual rabble of half-decent photographers). We were raising money for 'Let Them Eat Cake', which is a local charity who help support homeless people in the Lincoln area. They do a sterling job... helping to provide hot food, water, warm clothes and even sleeping bags.

We had set ourselves a modest target of £150, knowing that every penny counts, and we ended up smashing that and reaching £600... a decent amount of money and much appreciated by the charity in the run up to Christmas.

Aside from the warm fuzzy feeling of helping to support those in need, this shoot was also an opportunity catch up with old friends (most of us havent seen each other for over a year due to various covid reasons). And of course it also gave an opportunity to work with new faces which is always a bonus.

The first two people (Liv and Amy) I had already met from the tankspace shoot back in November...

Rachel

This time around I had the pleasure of meeting Rachel (above) and RJ (below), both of whom were lovely smiley people, and both of whom were so easy to work with, which always helps!

Right, thats the blog post written, I'd better crack on with editing. All 4 models featured here should hopefully be at the next event... so I need to get the images sorted before then!
