The Mountains Are Calling, Will You Accept The Charges?

Recently a certain ferric maiden has been whispering in my ear, over and over again, "run to the hills!" Don't think that's ever been bad advice but it seems more apt every day.

The mountains are a good place to pause and reflect, maybe even catch your breath. Just try not to catch altitude sickness, I hear it's going around up there.

Been fixing to make it back to the mountains ever since I left. The logistics of that is where things get tricky, particularly about 12,000 feet. Won't be getting that high but will be remedying that fairly soon.

Will be taking part in the Mountain Workshops towards the end of October, but that's in the much more elderly Appalachian Mountains. That's going to be focused on visual storytelling and photojournalism though, so the landscapes may be just on background.

These photos are all from the Rocky Mountains, mostly around Colorado, with one or two from Wyoming. I was born in the Appalachian Mountains, so they'll always be my favorite range but the Rockies are a close second. Anybody else have a (2nd) favorite mountain range?

Who has a calling card I can use? I need to call the mountains back but that definitely counts as long-distance and will probably turn into a three-way with the open road.

His tiredness running to the mountain will pay off with the beautiful scenery there.

Thank you :) Bear Lake is such an amazing place.

Great post, coloneljethro!
Mountains are for me like true Natural sanctuaries... There are indeed very few things that could not pass by when we take a walk near the Nature side, and even more when we had some height to it!
Thanks for sharing with us

Thank you. Sanctuary, yes! They've always been much the same for me.
Thanks for checking it out!

You are welcome!
