Deserts are cool, especially at night. To someone accustomed to humidity high enough you can drink the air it was a bit of an unwelcome surprise to say the least. I'd read about that happening but reading about it doesn't do justice to experiencing it.
Made the heat of the day a lot more bearable though. Wandering around in the desert will give you a new appreciation for water though. Made me think of Frank Herbert's book Dune. Speaking of which, has anybody seen the recent movie attempt? How is it? It can hardly be worse than the first attempt...
@corvidae I caught your friends slumming it in Utah. Tried to get'em to say nevermore but they just cussed me out.
At first glance the desert seems dead and lifeless. Look a little closer and you'll find it's anything but. Hell, even the soil is alive.
Still disappointed I didn't come across any snakes there. The sunsets there did not disappoint however.
Can't really tell that in black and white though. The arch in the photo below is great for sunrise shots but I wasn't about to wake up that early.
Why are deserts a great place for social distancing? Because they're deserted!
Don't get salty, it's the Great Salt Lake! Okay, that's probably enough out of me for one day...
Wow, awesome B&W shots! From first to last...
Thank you!
Amazing landscape pictutes

Lol, yeah, those guys are probably so over Poe by now.
Beautiful shots! I'm going to the Great Cold Lake over Christmas. Maybe play a game of salt hockey.
