Been doing a good bit of hiking lately. We're working our way up to doing a 14 mile trail in Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest in the very near future. Could have done it already but I wanted some practice first so the last few miles wouldn't be an unpleasant slog. Ain't got our summer legs yet.
My camera and kit has been tagging along on general principles, good practice for the gorge. Lately the weather hasn't been particularly conducive to photography, my pet raincloud continues to follow me so the Nikon has mostly stayed in the camera bag.
Last weekend we headed to Waverly Park to hike the clinic loop. The supposedly haunted Waverly Hills Sanatorium is nearby and I was hoping the name meant the hike would have some views of it. It didn't.
Wouldn't have mattered anyways, started raining as soon as we got into the woods. Took these while walking around the lake between the parking lot and the trailhead at the beginning and end of the hike, rest of the time the camera stayed hid.
The lake was still some good shooting, seemed like it was everyone's favorite fishing hole. Sort of made up for the rain.
Even the bees were out fishing for pollen. On that note, I'd better buzz on out of here.
You gave us fantastic shots of the lake
I think you gotta continue to hike😁😁
Thanks!
