RE: When I Walk Around Here I Wish I Was a Century in the Past

Thank you for this post; such beautiful buildings. Romania is high on my list of travel destinations precisely because of its rich history.

The Romanian Revolution against Nicolae Ceausescu was an exciting time in history that I relished from abroad. I recall, clearly, watching all of the events unfold in eastern Europe, and specifically Ceausescu's fall from power. The people didn't fool around with him - his execution came pretty quickly, slamming the door shut on his rule, communism, and the past. Their bravery in fighting for their freedom was so inspiring!

Thank you for this reminder and for bringing Revolution Square to the forefront. I am eager to see this all for myself.

Cheers!
