Friendship is a wonderful thing, perhaps the best thing that can happen. Many people say that many times they say that friends are better and more helpful than relatives. I often think the same. Of course, I'm referring to my own experience and life events.
I'm old enough to see how the sieve of time sifted through, and I'm glad to see that there are enough friends left.
Some of the friends who are no longer there have gone their separate ways or left altogether. Among the latter, those considered "man's best friends" (i.e. dogs) have gone forever, now I remember the dogs that have been with me in this life... Lassie, Carol, Pit! I dedicate this black and white post to them, how else?
The following pictures are of the dogs of a good friend who is also a great friend of dogs. For the dogs he left the city and bought a house in the country, with a huge yard, where he can gather as many dogs as possible.
This friend collected mostly abandoned, sick, or injured dogs that he cared for and cured of diseases, injuries and fears!
At its peak, it had as many as 30 dogs in its care. In almost thirty years of doing this, many dogs have come, many have gone, many have died of old age and now there are only seven left.
I was often there to take care of his house and dogs when he had to miss several days of home. So I had the opportunity to see how dogs behave in a group (pack), I only had one dog, never more than one at the same time.
That's how I noticed that when several dogs live in the same place there is always a pack leader. It comes from the wolf ancestors.
The leader, the leader of the pack is called Bojo! He is the strongest, bravest and smartest. It doesn't happen to humans...
The other dogs listen to him and fear him. There is no rebellion, disobedience or disrespect...
My friend has a special relationship with Bojo. Bojo loves him and listens to him unconditionally! It's impressive to see that, you'll never see something like that in human relationships.
Bojo has a claim too. An unbridled desire to always be with his master. Especially in the house. This is his great pleasure and he always claims it.
Don't think other dogs don't want the same thing. Don't think they don't get what they want. Always!
So true, and a great paradox... I wonder how much it can last this abnormal situation.
Lovely post! Who can resist to their eyes!!!
Yes, you're right. They "talk" with their eyes! Thank you very much!
It seemed like it was a day to relax, there was a very mesmerizing familiarity.
It can also be said relaxing in the country, thank you!
Thank you!
