This is my entry for #monomad challenge by @monochromes.
Yes, again sea of clouds!
Sea of clouds reminds me the famous painting "Wanderer above the Sea of Fog" by Caspar David Friedrich: it is a masterpiece of romanticism age, and sea of clouds is the perfect example of Sturm und Drang: nature can be dramatic and beautiful at the same time. The mysterious and greatness of nature takes us beyond our fragile nature, we feel here our smallness and fragility, but senses are amplified and the soul gains the capacity to feel deeper the universe around us.
On this summit, I took shoots to people watching landscape, rest in front of this abyss, walking up and down, coming to the summit, leaving it to come back to home. Wa stayed all together like old friends, talking about everything, watching mysterious islands on Mediterranean sea, or discussing about the name of distant summits hundreds kilometers away.
The more you get high, the more you see, the more you know: more you view on this place with physical eyes, and more you get in touch with hidden part of your soul. Wider visual representation of the world becomes a deeper knowledge and inner awareness of your inner feeling. And the more you can't see, hidden by low clouds, stimulates the fantasy and creativity: you can dream every world under the white fogs.
People here was very happy, smiling. A man offered us some food, a friend came to wait the sunset together, and a photographer stayed with us until the twilight (you can see other pics about this wonderful sunset and twilight in my previous post https://ecency.com/hive-194913/@barnabo73/sea-of-clouds-at-sunset)
On the summit there is a little chapel and a Mary hole statue, protecting us.
Pics taken with Sony Alpha 7iii and Nikon D800.
