This was my first time to win a medal on Mount Bromo in East Java, Indonesia. And it was the most enjoyable experience so I want to repeat it again, again, and again. Maybe with my family or with someone I love, maybe later. If we have set our wishes, the Universe will make them come true. That is my belief.
We stayed at a hotel in Malang City, East Java. We left the hotel at 00.00 with a tourist bus. This bus only takes passengers to the nearest terminal. Then, we continued our journey by jeep which only holds about five passengers plus a driver.
The weather was very cold which of course was a problem for me who lives in a hot city. Because of lack of sleep, I tried to sleep throughout the journey climbing with the Jeep. But it was very difficult because the road was full of steep slopes and sharp bends. Not infrequently my head hit the Jeep door.
We could not ride the Jeep until we got close to the peak of Bromo because there were already many similar vehicles parked so the road was congested. According to our driver, there are no less than a thousand Jeeps every day and I saw that it was very crowded, even though we were visiting outside the holiday season.
After the Jeep parked and we marked its number, we walked about 3 kilometers uphill. It took a lot of stamina in the dark of night. But all the fatigue was paid off when we reached the peak of Mount Bromo.
The rising sun shining reddishly greeted us at the peak. Unfortunately, in the #monomad photo parade, I could not show all the reddish rays. In a black and white photo frame, the beauty of the morning sunlight is not fully visible. So here, let me also show some colored photos.
Hopefully the community here can enjoy the beauty of Mount Bromo. I suggest, it is better to come directly for photo hunting while on vacation.
