In the midst of the fire disaster that hit Los Angeles, United States, there are still many beautiful sides to the city located in the state of California. One of them is the exotic Santa Monica Beach.
Santa Monica Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Los Angeles. The 3.5 mile long beach looked deserted when we visited when the sun had set. Sunset had long passed and it was a loss for us who were visiting Santa Monica beach for the first time.
The smell of the sea was already smelled when we set foot at the entrance to the beach located along the Pacific Coast Highway. The closer to the beach, the stronger the smell of the sea and the clearer the sound of the waves. The atmosphere is so serene.
I see Santa Monica beach has a uniqueness that is different from the beaches I have visited. This beach has a playground, picnic area, clean restrooms, muscle beach, and bike paths that provide comfort for visitors.
The wooden path that seems to divide the beach with lamp posts on the left and right, adds to the serenity of the night atmosphere. When we saw the cannon near the beach, we immediately took a picture there. From several references that I have read, the Santa Monica Pier is indeed one of the historical places.
It turns out that Santa Monica Pier was not originally a place of recreation when it was built in 1909, but rather as a utility pier for the disposal of city waste. But because the beach is beautiful and its location on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, Santa Monica has become one of the tourist icons in LA.
I took the photos with a compact camera that was not designed for night photography with distant objects. The camera light was not strong enough to capture the coastlines. Meanwhile, the beach lights were not very helpful either.
Finally, I apologize if the #monomad photo parade at Santa Monica beach is not very beautiful. Thank you for your support.[]
