Looking for symmetry in Black and White III

in Black And White3 years ago

Once more collection of pictures where I was looking to get a good symmetry. As a photographer I always try to find perfection on my pictures and in certain cases the place itself gave me that perfection. Sometimes you just need to look around, specially for lines and parallel shapes and the only thing is left is a good angle.

In this case it was easy, a pier/dock will most of the cases bring you that desired symmetry. You only need to place yourself in the middle, duck a little bit and done! Obviously it will look much better if you have a beautiful background like I had in Akaroa, New Zealand.

Here is an example that symmetry is not always brought on a silver plate, sometimes you have to look for it hard. Think and rethink until you find it. For this pictures I thought that while crossing an underground part of a train journey if I raised the shutter speed of the camera I might achieve a symmetric shape made by the fences. And the results are just extraordinary.

Another part of the section that the train went up a little bit and the effect of the rails at the end is incredible. It looks like a rollercoaster. I also edited in a different tone of black and white to make it a bit different from the previous one.

This last image it might seem easy to find the symmetry, but the reality is that it actually wasn't. I walked around for a while taking pictures of different angles but to be completely honest I wasn't finding any I could be happy with. So after a few minutes and dozens of pictures I got this beautiful shot.
