Black and White Sunsets around the World VII - Monomad Challenge

I hope that you are still enjoying my posts about sunsets in Black and White. These, even though they are full of colours, if you choose the right pictures, sunsets also look amazing in Black and White. Here are some more examples of sunsets I hunted during my trips.

Looking at a sunset is always a beautiful thing to see, but when you do it next to your love one is even better. While I was enchanted by this amazing sunset in the island of Palawan in The Philippines I could see a bit far from me this couple sharing this great time together, and I had no choice than immortalise it.

More people enjoying together the golden hour. This time at the St. Kilda Beach in Melbourne. I had to take a few shots until I got the seagulls eclipsing the sun. I ended up with a ton of amazing pictures but specially in this one I got the birds in a perfect position.

A sunset from home, my city Sevilla. Full of places to enjoy a good sunset. This one though is not a very famous place to see it, but one day walking with my camera I saw the sun just behind that peculiar building, so I couldn't miss the shot.

Probably one of a kind sunset. Unfortunately, I got a bit of a cloudy day so I couldn't really get a decent sunset. But the place is difficult to imitate. On top of a hotel in Kuala Lumpur you have this bar on a helipad where you can see the sunset having a drink. Amazing!

Yet again I bring you another batch of sunsets I have witnessed during my travels. Not a usual thing to see, but sunsets do really look good when to converted to Black and White. If you had any doubt, here I will try to make you change your mind.

The first picture I bring you is from a spectacular place called Akaroa in New Zealand. Here I was lucky to see one of the most beautiful sunsets I haver ever seen. Those mountains behind with all those boats and piers in front made definitely a perfect spot for a sunset picture.

Not too far from New Zealand we obviously find Australia. A surf paradise. Here, at Bondi Beach, the most crowded beach in the country, we can see many surfers catching waves, really good for pictures. But if you go at sunset, it's a plus! You can use those people as silhouettes with the sun behind. Although you need to be patient since the fact that they remain up and still on the board it is not on our hand.

Remote lake on a remote island. Even though Taiwan is not a very popular country to travel, it is full of hidden gems that would definitely would make it a top destination. I was lucky to live there for two years and I was able to visit places like this, the Sun Moon Lake, very quiet and stunning peace of nature.

I have to say that Hong Kong wasn't my favourite place for a sunset. I personally love sunsets where you have either many things to play with or a beautiful landscape. But Hong Kong didn't really have many of those. It is a beautiful country, don't get me wrong, just not good for sunsets are there are mainly buildings and more buildings. But if you look deep enough, you will find a good spot to get your well desired picture.

Undoubtedly the sunset in black and white, are perfect, even if you do not appreciate the beautiful shades that the sunset offers us, just as in monochrome you can appreciate the beauty of these contrasts in the photograph.

Definitely! They are just different, giving us another feeling with the picture. Thank you very much for your comment!
