Black and White Sunsets around the World VIII - Monomad Challenge

in Black And White3 years ago

More sunsets on Black and White. This is my eighth post of colourless sunsets and hope you like them because I will be bringing more and more. I have loads of sunset pictures since I have been following them for quite a long time and in a lot of different places on earth. I love to travel, and when I do it, one thing I never miss is the sunset of that place.

On this picture I used a crystal ball to recreate an eclipse with the sun. I was on the southern coast of Spain, so what is seen on the ball is mainly water vanishing on the horizon, fact that makes the ball quite empty without anything distracting. To be honest, I've had that ball for a long time and I haven't been able to use it too much because I cannot find good scenarios. After I took this picture I found a good use for it!

This mars-like desert near Perth, on the western coast of Australia is not only an amazing place for pictures, if you like sunsets it is also a perfect place to use this pinnacles as silhouettes against the sun, or even just taking pictures os those pinnacles with the yellow colour of the golden hour, and how those rocks create great shadows.

Very quiet place in Beijing is the Summer Palace. I spent the whole day walking around until the sun started to come down. I started to look for good places for a great picture but I couldn't find too many, until I saw these kids. The pose the had facing the sun made it a unmissable opportunity for a cool shot.

I use again people for my sunset pictures. They are just great as silhouettes, specially when they are doing something. Here I also tried to play a little bit with the aura the sun was creating against the camera. Definitely a worth trying technique in some cases.
