Pilgrimages are very traditional in Latin American people and some countries around the world.For different reasons there are devotees with the need of pay promises for a favor received and are capable of doing very hard and extreme self-imposed sacrifices.
¨El Santuario del Rincón¨ is dedicated to Saint Lazarus and is located about 19 km from havana city in a municipality
called Santiago de las Vegas.Hello to all Black and white family, for today #monomad challenge i bring to you a first approach to Rincón Sanctuary and this time i want to show you some close up portraits i did of some pilgrims.
This confession of faith is very strongly rooted in a large majority of the Cuban population. This saint is considered the patron saint of the sick and protector of dogs in a cultural religious phenomenon called syncretism, where several beliefs come together as one, in this case the Catholic faith and the tradition of the African slaves were mixed.

Las peregrinaciones son muy tradicionales en los pueblos latinoamericanos y en algunos países del mundo. Por diferentes motivos existen devotos con la necesidad de pagar promesas por un favor recibido y son capaces de hacer sacrificios autoimpuestos muy duros y extremos.
¨El Santuario del Rincón¨ está dedicado a San Lázaro y se encuentra a unos 19 km de la ciudad de La Habana en un municipio llamado Santiago de las vegas.Hola a toda la familia Black and white, para el reto de hoy #monomad les traigo un primer acercamiento al Santuario de Rincón y esta vez quiero mostrarles algunos retratos de cerca que hice de algunos peregrinos.
Esta confesión de fe esta muy fuertemente arraigada en una gran mayoría de la población cubana.Este santo está considerado el patrono de los enfermos y protector de los perros en un fenómeno religioso cultural denominado sincretismo, donde varias creencias confluyen como una sola, en este caso se mezclaron la fe católica y la tradición de los esclavos africanos.
