Monomad: Walking on a Mound of Crown Flowers

I captured a cheerful mantis walking on a mound of crown flowers this afternoon. The mantis is not a pollinator nor a flower lover. It is more appropriately associated as a "butcher" for nectar seekers such as pollinating insects. It has jaws that are as deadly as jumping spiders. Not only does it have deadly jaws, but it has two front legs as its main weapon. Those legs are like toothed machetes that can mutilate prey into pieces. I observed that it had not found any prey. But I am sure it will find that soon.

This is another entry I submitted for the daily #monomad challenge.
