I saw him in my yard the other day. He crawled slowly up the star fruit tree like a thief. Of course, he didn't want to steal star fruit because it tasted too sour and was only intended as a cooking spice. I can't imagine that if he chewed the fruit, his big, bulging eyes would narrow when he chewed it. It is very sour and makes your teeth ache. So I'm sure he didn't come to steal star fruit. So what is he doing there?
Instead of being cute, he looked like a butcher. He girded two curved saw blades and used them as sticks as he crawled slowly. What a scary guy!
I noticed he wasn't talking; he was just silent. Maybe he maintains authority, or maybe he doesn't understand our language.
I slowly got closer and closer. Suddenly he jumped onto my fingers, stopped crawling, and swung his sword as if he wanted to slaughter me. That scared me half to death.
"Oh, Mr. Butcher, don't scare me." I roared and begged him, and he seemed to understand that his bluff made my guts shrink.
I continue to let it rest on my fingers. It doesn't matter, as long as he doesn't hurt me. I'm sure he didn't want to hurt me.
Wonderful details and that perfect harmony of the contrast between the insect and its black and white surroundings.
