This is ocumo, a vegetable widely used in my country. It's good to know other names like cocoyam, I didn't know that. I have seen it grown in my country and its leaves are really big.

The name is somehow similar, that is one thing about language, it is always similar to another, that is great, Cocoyam is widely known as the name of the plant, I guess the Ocumo must have been a native name, right?

Yes @josephdaniel567, definitely the language things and the differences or similarities between certain names are amazing. I am from Venezuela, the tuber of the ocumo or Cocoyam has a delicious flavor especially in soups and in other recipes as well 🍲
