I had been sick since September 3; but I guess I had been uncomfortable with my body before that. But the worst started when I was called for a meeting with the boss, I only had coffee and biscuits for lunch and did not have dinner till 8:30 in the evening. I was really hungry at that time and i did not expect the meeting will take too long and i was looking forward to eating at home because my family was waiting for me.I was shivering of hunger and had fever infront of the boss but no one knew nor noticed about it.
I got better thr next day but fever came again and I gues I had abused my body too much that I got sick or perhaps this is just a reminder that I should be even more careful and watchful of my health.
I had been feeling pain when I inhale too deep and when I cough and blow my nose and I suspected I had sinda but the first two hilots(kind of herbal/massage healers) did not confirm when I asked and so confidently ate chicken soup when I got home which worsened my situation.
It's ironic how my hamily had so much chicken for dinner for a few days when I was forbidden to ahve them.
By the way, sinda is a sudden sharp pain according to binisaya cebuano english dictionary and for me it's moatly caused by accumulated trapped wind in the body.
During those times I came to work wearing bonnets and thick jackets rhat made me look so wierd. I was not in the mood and almost always in pain and then anxiety striked me. I was overthinking most of the time and then there were times when I had palpitations and gets dizzy with it. Good thing I did not panic or worse things might have happened to me.
The came to the point when I was really in pain that I could not go to work or sleep without pain relievers and decided to go home from work early and went to another hilot who confirmed my sinda and there I had relief and the next day, I sunbathed at noon and wore my slippers ofd and walked to the soil barefoot. I saw it on a video that walking barefoot is good for the body and it really helped me a lot to sweat and relieve the trapped wind in my body.
There was also a time when I really took a leave form work just to avoid the air conditioner from work which I suspected to making me sick and where I got the trapped wind in my body.
this is a photo of me on my first sunbath, my sweat was cold and took me a while under the sun for the sweat to come off my pores. And juat before we went home, my husband uprooted some weeds on the field and gave me the bouquet of roots which I boiled and drank in the evening.
With a combination of multiple herbal medicines and practices I am now finally feeling better and hopefully by the end of the month, I would fully recover from all these pain and illness.
Oh, you might wonder why I never mentioned going to a clinic or hospital, it is because I never think doctors had quick, effective and cheap medicine for what I was suffering.
Of course, pain was painful, in fact very painful so I promised myself for the nth time this time to be more watchful and careful of my body.
This week, I even had more noon sunbathing sessions in my workplace which I enjoyed a very much. The sun was hot but bearable, and when it gets too hot, I put on my hoodie in my head and remain under the sun.
Somw people who saw me tells me it was too hot and rgey had no idea I was doing it for my health. Hopefully tomorrow, i could go back to the hilot one more time because there were still little pain i was feeling, and I hope to be under the sun, barefoot on Sunday for my full recovery.
