When you boost a post it goes into a queue to be voted on by an Ecency curator. Our job is to give an Ecency vote to your post, but also to earn curation rewards that get paid out 100% to Ecency delegators. Hive only pays out curation rewards on posts that are less than 24hrs old. You stand a much better chance of not having your POINTS refunded if you boost a new post that you have published using Ecency.
