This blog was supposed to be uploaded last month but since I got a very hectic schedule now is the only time I can share it with you. Every time my mom comes home here in the Philippines, we would always go out of the town and this year's trip we chose Camotes. This is just a short vacation because all the tourist spots here in Camotes we've already toured and it's my fourth time here as well together with my family. So those tourist spots that we haven't been to last year, we tried to go to every single one of them as much as we could.
Our boat trip was night and I didn't take any pictures because I wasn't feeling well that time and the sea was very wild. Finally, we arrived at Camotes and we stayed at my mama' s friend who is Tita Fely in which her house was near the sea port. To be honest, I am a night owl and at that time I was shocked because I slept early and that's why when morning came, I really felt alive because after how many days, I just had a proper sleep. When everyone was already awake, we proceeded right away for our breakfast and then we hopped right away on our awaited tour. Our first stop was in Buho Rock which has crystal clear water wherein you can also do cliff jumping but unfortunately that time it was low tide so it's very dangerous so we just swam and took pictures.
Next stop is Amazing Island Cave where the water is very clear because it comes from fresh water. But you need to wear a mandatory life jacket because it's really important. It was very fun because you will go under the rocks and you will walk a little so that you can reach the area where you can swim. The cave was very mesmerizing and it felt so good swimming in fresh natural water and of course we didn't want to waste any good opportunities so we took as many photos as we could. They also served food and we had our lunch there.
And for our last stop was another cave called the Bukilat Cave. Unlike the Amazing cave, Bukilat is not really for swimming because the water there was not that high. But the place was very beautiful and it's designed for everyone to do sight seeing.
Fast forward, it's already our last day of the Camotes trip, so since our boat trip was still at 2pm in the afternoon. We didn't waste any chance to explore Camotes still so there was a walking distance to the beach that was near my mama's friend's house so we went there just to do sightseeing. We didn't take a dip because we will then proceed to Mangodlong Rock which was our last stop. We had brunch there and we rented a kayak as well and my sister and I had so much fun exchanging kayaks.
Camotes is really a beautiful place. I highly recommend it because there are still lots of many hidden places where you can explore wih your families and friends such as Tulang Diot amd Santiago Beach and so much more. It's also budget friendly and the spots there are not far so it's a short time travel only and it's very efficient for a traveller like me. And fun fact, do you know why it's called Camotes Island? It's because it has a lot of Kamote(Sweet Potato) or Kamoteng Kahoy. And that's it for my blog, I hope I made you feel like you are with me in this memorable trip to Camotes.
