DAILY LIFE STORY: "Filipino Rice Cakes with Coffee"

Filipino rice cakes are popular snacks here in our country. You can buy it from the local market, and lucky for us, an old lady is selling these snacks just a few walks away from home. She is already old, but knows how to make these rice cakes. She is selling them at a low price since her target buyers are students.

We tried buying from her, and her stall was located just in front of the school, just beside our house. It took us only a few minutes to walk, and we could finally have a tasty snack. We brought two different rice cakes from her, but we don't know what the other one is. We forgot to ask her about it too. But anyway, check them out below and see how mouth-watering and tasty they look.

When we got home, we also prepared our cups of coffee to partner with the snacks we just bought. During the rainy days, these are the perfect snacks to keep our tummies full. Everything tasted good. They were such delicious delicacies here in our province. Also, great job for the vendor for cooking for them. They are the best when partnered with a hot chocolate drink or coffee.

So, that's it for today. Thank you so much for reading. See you on our next blog. Sending good vibes to everyone!

Kankanin is best with coffee, especially now in rainy days. The old lady is kind for still selling even at her age.

What a heartwarming story! There's really something special about local vendors who put love into what they make-especially our lolas who still know the traditional way of preparing kakanin. 😍 Those rice cakes look so delicious, and I can almost smell the coffee pairing from here! Perfect combo for rainy days indeed. Thanks for sharing this simple but beautiful part of life in the province. Looking forward to your next blog. Sending good vibes back! ☕️🍰🌧 @theferrerblogs
