Unboxing and Trying Out My New Markers <3

Since I decided to get back to creating some artworks again and post it on my other account @harulovesanime, I decided to get some art materials which allow me to create art easily.

I don't have a lot of time due to my job, but whenever my student is absent or when I have a short break time, I want to work on something. Mostly, I enjoy acrylic painting, but this type requires me to sit down and focus on making something for quite some time.

One thing that came to mind was using markers. I do have some markers that I purchased years ago. I could still use them, but I have thrown some colors away since they've dried up or already consumed. The others were also on the brink of being totally used up, so I needed some back up. haha

As I was looking for some markers online, I decided to pre-order one because it's much cheaper than the others, but still has good reviews. It doesn't have any brand, but they're acrylic markers. I try to avoid getting expensive ones because I don't have enough money and I'm still practicing. Maybe when I get better at drawing, I may also get some upgrade. hahaha

They finally arrive after almost a month. It's a week earlier than expected, so I'm cool with it. Also, there's no rush for me to use them.

I actually got two of them because I could save more this way. If I only got the 60 colors, I'd have to pay a shipping fee. However, if I bought another item, I could get free shipping. In total, I only paid less than a dollar more to get these two items compared to getting one item and paying a shipping fee.

They have their own container, so I could take them anywhere, but I'm mostly drawing at home, so I'd have to transfer them later on.

They're so cute... There are other types like brush pen or dual ones, but I decided to get just the markers. My focus is drawing anyway, but even with this, I can still practice some calligraphy as well.

First, I tried them on a very thin paper and the result is quite good. The paper was a bit shiny, but they didn't smudge and even though the back part of the paper is no longer useable, it didn't affect the next page at all. I need not put a cardboard or other things to protect the next page.

I tried it on a sketchbook and there's no trace of the marker at the back of the page... You can see a comparison here below. I used my old markers when drawing, and look at what happened to the back page.

I'm so random... but really, I'm happy.

Also, I could blend the colors as well. However, blending looks better when I use watercolor paper. They do blend on a regular sketchbook, but the sketchbook page looks cottony. It's the same when I try using watercolor on a regular sketchbook.

During my break, I decided to sort out my art materials, especially my markers. This way, it would be easier for me to use them when I draw or create something.

I brought them closer to my work area.. I switched the painting tools with them, but the painting tools are still pretty accessible. Also, there are a lot of colors, so I just grouped them according to their color hues.
