Greetings everyone from Pursat province. I left my sister’s house two days ago to visit my brother’s house in the countryside of Pursat province. This is the harvest season and it is also winter.
In morning the some people make fire to warm the body. At night the house has old people make fire for good sleeping. That’s just like my childhood. I have not done like that a long time already.

This is my brother and his son.
This is my mother's distant cousin, and she is @phuong.sitha's mother. She came to grill and to warm up and be friendly with us.
We are talking so much about our life and about fun story. Then we laugh together. I have not been happy like that a long time with my mother’s family.
My brother cut firewood for cooking. This is countryside, the people still use firewood for cooking.
My brother called the mill workers to transport the rice to the mill, and my brother and his son helped lift the rice onto the motorbike.
The dog slept on the rice because it’s warm.
When the sun is shining, my two nephew dries the rice under the sun.
If have a good sun, they dries two days and take it in the rice house.
This is my brother’s house. He has two daughters and three sons. Here, almost all the people build high houses because there are always floods every year.
This is a chicken house. My brother made it by himself. I hope you are all well everywhere you are. Stay healthy everyone.

I wonder how cold it gets there at night/ in the mornings.
Right now I am sitting in front of my wood burner, inside of my house. I need to get myself an ax, as the wood that I have here is a little too big and doesn't ( always ) burn easily.

Scenes of fires are more common in villages. But this scene is currently lost to us here. You have beautifully captured the countryside, as well as the sunset scene.

Their lifestyle is identical to my place. I mean, why not we are Asians. We live raw and simple as them. I miss home.
Where do you live. I think almost all Asia has similar or the same things. I hope you can go back soon and I know how it’s feel.
My hometown is rural area of the Philippines Visayas region. I hope I can go home next year. Being away for to long sucks, but it is what it is.
That's unfortunate, those floods. Certain parts here in Suriname also flood every year.

We have a lot in common here in the Philippines @sreypov. It's also rice harvest season here , Thank you for sharing pictures of your place it made me smile seeing how other countries traditions.
I used to live in a subdivision and by the end of that subdivision is a rice plantation. Me, my brother and my cousins will play in that field for hours especially during harvest season. Lots of birds to see and fresh air!

It means that in Cambodian not in rainy season? Here in Indonesia, has started the rainy season since october. The rains is almost everyday here. Some areas in Indonesia are flood.

The house look like my late grandmother house in Sarawak. It was a tall house for the same reason; flood.

Hi! The life of your brother in your place are somewhat like the same here in our province. The only difference is that, we don't have a snow here.😊 Before we also used to dry the rice into the sun. My cousin's husband was the owner of the said rice field and we helped to dry it if it's harvest time. And once we complete this dry thing they gave us a rice in return for our help.
