Hello everyone!
Hope all are safe and well! ☺️❤️🙏
One of the things I truly love about being at home is having fresh catch for our family meals. The food that is not just eaten, but shared and enjoyed together at the table. There is something deeply fulfilling when you know where your food comes from and when it is prepared with love and gratitude. 🙏
I am very grateful that even though we don’t have our own fishing boat, my parents and brothers can still go fishing using only our fish nets. It may look simple to others, but for us, it is already a huge blessing. Because of their hard work and patience, our viands often come straight from the sea. We don’t usually buy fish or seafood because the sea provides for us, and for that, I truly praise and thank the Lord. ❤️🙏
We are blessed to have crabs and different kinds of fish. Sometimes we grill fresh fish and we simply cook the crabs. No complicated recipes are needed because when food is fresh, its natural taste is already enough. ❤️

We also enjoy frying freshly caught fish. The sound of fish frying in the kitchen, the smell filling the house, and everyone waiting patiently, it’s a simple scene, yet it feels very special. These are moments I know I will always treasure. ❤️

One of my favorite dishes that we get to enjoy is adobong pusit. Knowing that it also comes from the sea makes it even more meaningful. Every bite reminds me how generous God is in providing food for our family. These are not just meals, they are blessings placed on our table. ❤️🙏

Aside from seafood, we also eat root crops. These were already cooked but not freshly harvested from our garden. My father bought them from the market because he really loves eating root crops. Simple food like this reminds me that meals don’t need to be expensive to be satisfying. What matters is that it nourishes the body and brings comfort. ❤️

Another thing I truly appreciate about being home is how easy it is to turn to natural remedies when someone gets sick. When I got sick recently, we didn’t panic. There is plenty of malunggay (moringga) in our village, and my cousin has lots of rambutan trees in their backyard. My father gathered malunggay leaves, while we harvested some rambutan fruits. ☺️
I decided to make a smoothie using malunggay, rambutan, banana, milk, and a little water. The banana was bought by my father. It may sound simple, but it felt healing not just for the body, but also for the heart. Knowing that these came from nature made me feel safer and more at peace. ❤️🙏

I keep making this smoothie because coughs and colds are quite rampant nowadays. It has become part of my routine, and I’m thankful that we have access to natural and healthy options. Living close to nature really teaches you to appreciate the simple things that often go unnoticed. ❤️
Have a Blessed Monday everyone! 😀😀😀💖💖💖
Thank You Lord for the blessings and love!
Be grateful in every little/simple things and you’ll find happiness you ever wanted! 😀😀😀
Everyday is worth to be grateful of!
Praying for the safety and wellness of all.
