The Cheesy Hot Pandesal on a Customized Tricycle: Our All-Time Favorite Bread for Breakfast

Pandesal, or Pan de Sal, is one of the Filipino breads that we all love. From kids to adults, we love this and could even have it as a snack only if it is available at any time in our area. But actually, pandesal is well known as one of the Filipino breakfasts. I still remember that during my childhood, we could still get pandesal for only one peso. And aside from that, we don't have to go to the bakery to buy it because it is the Pandesal who will come for us to enjoy it.

Or more like, they are being sold by a person while riding in a bicycle, they are a Pandesal vendor that rides in a bicycle, and they are also known for their horn, which, once you hear it, means a Pandesal vendor is already here. Ah, I missed those times. A Pandesal Vendor Horn is also like an alarm for us. They sell their pandesals as early as 4 a.m., hot and freshly baked from the oven. We enjoy it with or without a spread. But I'd love mine with margarine, I even sprinkle some sugar on it. I also love how the margarine melts because of the hot pandesal.

For sure, my fellow Filipinos here can relate to it. As time passes, more and more spreads for bread appear. There's a cheese spread, a chocolate spread, and even peanut butter, then those flavored mayonnaises, just like this one. This is actually one of our favorites, chicken flavor. It is best for pandesal. And if there is no sandwich spread available, then dipping it in hot coffee is also a perfect thing to do.

I remember that we only had Nescafe instant black coffee back then. And the bitter and sweet combination of the coffee is just really good paired with a hot pandesal. Who can relate to this? Do you still dip your pandesal in hot coffee? Because I do (≧▽≦), and it's the best! If you haven't tried this "pandesal dip in coffee," then you should try it. It's the best, I tell yah! You'll forget a sc*mbag boyfriend you had, lol.

Now, let's talk about this pandesal on a wheel, a modern way to deliver a hot pandesal to people. I bought this good-looking pandesal here. They actually just started a year ago, and there's a lot of them. I even saw some of them in other cities, like in Pinamalayan. They were stationed in different areas and spots, and people would come to where they were to buy their hot pandesal. And there's always a line, because you know, they are being baked on the spot.

What I love about this is that they will really bake the pandesal in front of you. And the smell was so good that even those passersby who didn't plan to buy the pandesal would stop just to buy it. And I also remember that when they first arrive here, there's such a long line that you will think there's a sale of branded shoes and clothes in there, but it is actually just a hot pandesal, and it still happening even until today.

And I am also one of those who will wait in line just to eat it, haha. Look at that. It's amazing how cool this is, the customization of it is just superb! Imagine, from a tricycle to this beautiful wheels. There's actually a lot of business on wheels here, and they sell different kinds of things, from foods to things, but this one is cooler. I'm not sure where this kind of business started, a pandesal on a wheel like this and with an oven. For sure, this exists somewhere on earth. How about in your place?

And just so you know, guys, this pandesal on wheels comes in different designs, I mean, the design of their wheels. From placing the oven and their food rack to where to place the gas and all, I saw one on the internet with this unique design, it's different from what we have here in Mindoro. But it looks super cool too. Maybe the one who handles the pandesal on wheels is the one who decides on its design, not sure though, just a guess.

As for the pandesal itself, there is no doubt that it is delicious. And what is more, it is also healthy because they put moringa on it, which is a good thing especially for those who always buy it, an awesome benefits. You know how nutritious Moringa is, and putting it on a pandesal is really a great idea. And, aside from that, it also has cheese inside, although it is not that big, it's still not bad. For the price, they already updated their price, and from 2 PHP, or $0.036, it is now 5 PHP, or $0.090 per piece. It's a high jump in price, but it can't be helped. As long as the quality stays the same.

And by the way, you can request to them to get your pandesal a little toasty, we love a little crunch on our pandesal, so that's why we always requested it like that. And they are kind enough to do that for those who request it. I mean, they are known for it, so they can't surely say no to it right (≧▽≦).

And you know, I am just glad that this pandesal on wheels is close to where we live (◍•ᴗ•◍). I can even see it at home when I go outside. And another thing is that they also sell pandesal in the afternoon. They arrive here at 2 p.m., and of course, we also buy that to have it as our merienda. And I sometimes pair it with hot coffee again, even though I already had it in the morning (≧▽≦).

I hope you're well I usually see some great roadside shop photos presented. Your city looks great from the streets to the shops and the food is truly unparalleled. Our love is always immense for the people who put in all these daily toils. Many of them are well-educated and elegant people who have chosen careers that do not offer good jobs because of their stomachs. However, I always respect and love their good intentions. I always respect and love every hard worker in your city. Also, thank you for sharing some of the wonderful shop photos in your city. Always my prayers for the hardworking people of your city. May they be able to gradually channelize their honest earnings towards further progress. I show my respect and love to them and my love to you and your family. Have a nice day my friend

Hi, thanks! Thanks for the wonderful words, so glad to read your comment. Happy Day ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ

Super unique talaga, galing din ng nakaisil nito ee. Soon, mapupunta na din ito dyan. Oo 5 na, mejo lumiit na din nga pero okay lang nakakabusog pa rin naman na ang 2 pieces haha

Wow mas highbtech ung pandesal aa inyo sis. Ung bakery mismo mobile. Sa amin luto na nilalako tuwing umaga.

Kaya nga ee, kakatuwa haha. Pero ganyan talaga ang traditional na paglalako ng pandesal no. Nakabalot balot na nga sa paper bag ee. Mas pina hightech nalang takaga now tong ginagawa ng pandesal on wheels na itey uwu

It's so cool na may ganyan dyan sis. You don't need to go to the bakery shop to have some.

Dapat may next round pag nauubusan haha

Ito talaga yung masarap..yung mainit2 pa.
Nung umuwi ako hinahanap ko ube-cheese pandesal..d ko talaga nakita yub

Ube cheese, diko pa to natatry, sounds good. Ito ba yong nauso before.

We are seeing such business on wheels here in the Philippines lately. Just like here in our province as well.

That's awesome, and it's a goos thing na anlayo na narating nitong pandesal on wheels na ito.

Oh wow, it's been a long time since I've eaten pandesal, and to be reminded of how it goes so well with coffee... pure bliss. I remember my siblings and I used to call it "Sawsaw kape". We were forbidden from drinking coffee when we were children, but when we were staying at our grandmother's place, we get to drink it and eat pandesal. I don't usually drink coffee now, but if you give me a hot pandesal, you better believe I'll be pairing it up with coffee and dipping it before every bite.

Surely a pure bliss, hope you get to experience them again, if it's already been a long time (≧▽≦).

Those carts that make and sell bread are so cool. Seeing your photos I'm starving to try a roll of that pandesal.

They look like a type of sweet bread they sell here that is delicious with coffee with milk. But I wonder if the pandesal is a little sweet?

It's really really cool (人 •͈ᴗ•͈), people are really good in customizing things then do something amazing like this.

It really depends on the bakery selling, but the pandesal here is a little salty, not that sweet which is really good coz it compliments well with coffee which is sweeter.

Super cool bread on wheels 😎 now I want a roll all of sudden 😂

Haha, should I send some of this there? Ehehe

Haha it wouldn't be sent back to sender. 😁

I like cheezy pandesal paired with hot coffee for my snacks,❤️

The best no ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ that's why I also love to do that hehe.

Thank you🎉🎉🎉

Those look so perfect, I think your country has Cambodia beat in the world of baking. Steaming is still the most common way flour-type things are made here. and getting a baguette can often involve a long drive to find a bakery. Definitely never seen anyone here baking things from a moto, very cool.

It's crazy how they can come up with something amazing like this (人 •͈ᴗ•͈)
