A cut from the Past-visiting 1920s style barber shop in 2025

Well there's something which is rarely seen these days especially over the city in everywhere. From the shop like providing scissors polishing, shoes fixing and polishing, big roll of clothes that cuts according to your need and to barber shop. Which almost been forgotten ever since as our society now moving forwards in the speed of light.

Lucky enough for me to witness and experience it myself towards this piece of art from the past. At the first glance, nothing fancy, high tech or modern. All straight to the point.

As you can see from it, color paint were peeling off over the years, antique ceiling fan and big chunky black TV (which position on the top) and olden days artist/model/singer and so. No fancy LEDs, a/c, countryside music or Wi-Fi from here. All you got here is the old school taste without technology.

Waiting area wise is this stone made bench for ya. No appointment or advance booking needed. Just walk in and sit will do.

While waiting this got my attention. No battery needed birds playing in the air with the helps of rubber band. Yup you heard me just rubber band can makes the bird flips its wings.

And it's my turn after 15mins of waiting. Man just look at the chairs makes me feels young again. The quality really makes me wanna say amazing. Uncle barber told me these chairs is more than 60 years old and put foods on his table for the family.

Mirror and desk that serves over the years. With some modern tools like cutter and hair dryer only. Nothing else. No bullshlt promoting hair related item as you can see in most modern saloon.

And the final results? Hmm well acceptable for me as I'm a lazy person ( to comb or tidy hair everyday person). Haircut + beard shave cost you only <$3. Why not right?
