Visiting a relative in the hospital and stopping by the post office to send a package
Hello everyone
Yesterday afternoon, my phone rang. When you answered the phone, you found out that my aunt was in the hospital. My relative called to tell me that my aunt had been in the hospital for 2 days, which I didn’t know about before. I asked my relative what my aunt could eat. My relative told me that my aunt couldn’t eat whatever she wanted because the doctor prepared all 3 meals for her. So I asked again who was staying with my aunt to look after her. I found out that there were 2 people who were looking after her. So I hung up but said that I was going to go to the hospital. Then I called a restaurant in the village. In the end, the restaurant didn’t answer my phone.
My wife and I rushed to the hospital. But before going to the hospital, I stopped by a fresh market to buy some souvenirs for my aunt.
In this area, there are many fruit shops. I almost couldn't decide which one to buy from. The most convenient place to park is this one. My uncle's wife and I went to choose some fruit and asked the owner for permission to take pictures of the atmosphere in the shop and the various fruits. I didn't know what fruits the patients could eat, so I let my wife choose the fruits.
Pineapple, orange, seedless grapes, jujube, mango.
I think all of these fruits are useful souvenirs for the patients. Let's continue our journey. From the market, we drove to the main road in the city to Trang Hospital. There were quite a few cars on the way.
So I chose the fastest route to the hospital, but it didn't have too much traffic today. Other people in other cars probably thought the same thing. Finally, we arrived.
I left my car in front of Trang Hospital. The parking fee was 40 baht and I got a red parking slip. I headed across the street to the hospital. When I got there, I forgot what floor and room my relative told me. I couldn’t remember it for a long time. Luckily, I remembered my aunt’s name. I went to the inquiry room and told her my aunt’s name. In the end, I couldn’t find her. I remembered her name wrong. The hospital tried to find her name by using the first or last letter in case I found her. In the end, I found her. Her name was Pyang-Pyong Som, Nang Som, 80 years old. I remembered only 2 syllables, so I couldn’t find her name. When I found out the information about the room number and the floor the patient was on, my wife and I headed to find her. We walked and took the elevator sometimes. Then we reached a dead end. There were 2-3 police officers from the hospital to check. Only patients and visitors had to have a card. When we got to this point, we talked to the police officers and told them that we were visiting a patient with that name and in that room. The hospital has rules. You can visit at 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. But I was very lucky because my aunt was in a special room. I didn't know about the hospital rules. If you are in a special room, you can visit. This is the first time I know about the hospital rules here. The 2-3 police officers let my wife and I visit my aunt. Finally, we arrived. We have been in the special room for 2 nights. When we arrived, we told the nurse in front of the room that we were visiting Mrs. Som. The nurse said that Grandma or Mrs. Som was discharged from the hospital at noon. In short, I didn't make it in time. My aunt went home, but I was glad that she was fine. Then my wife and I left the hospital to get the car and drove to see my aunt at her house, which is not far from Trang city.
I decided before going to visit my aunt at home.
I stopped to send something to my daughter at the post office first because I drove through this area. I thought that if I wasn't in a rush today, I would buy some more snacks to send to my daughter. The snacks behind the market in Trang province are snacks from Malaysia that are sold a lot in that area. Most of them are grains and chocolate.
But today, because there was an event that required me to rush, I didn't stop to buy anything. When I arrived at the post office, I walked to the counter. There was a counter for souvenirs in this area, so I chose to buy some more souvenirs that the post office had put in for my daughter. The snacks in question were probably dried fruits. When I bought them, I went back to read the sign that said 100 baht per can. I bought 3 cans. When I was done, the staff packed the boxes. I wrote my address and took a queue number. Today at the post office, I think it was quite quiet with the atmosphere this afternoon. The total cost of sending the items and the products was more than 400 baht.
It was expensive with the fee for sending across the island and sending it quickly. When I was done, I went to see my aunt. And then I arrived at my aunt's house. I brought the souvenirs to my aunt. When I arrived, I was relieved and happy for my aunt. Nothing happened. It got better. My aunt told me that her blood pressure was just a bit high. Aunt Ari was shocked, so she went to see a doctor. The doctor let her stay in the hospital. My aunt said that she was considerate and didn't want to bother anyone by calling. I told her that it was okay. She could call me anytime. We talked for quite a while until it was time to pick up my daughter and then we went back. My aunt is an 80-year-old woman. She is the only one left alive because the others have already left this world. We have to take care of each other. Today, I will end it here.
