Lifestyle: Today's gardening involves cutting bamboo to send to vendors to make sticky rice in bamboo.

Hello everyone, this morning I drank tea while watching my pet sugar turtle. I sat and relaxed this morning. The weather is clear, but I don't know if it will rain this afternoon because yesterday it rained a little.

The Sulcata tortoises now have hard shells. I feel like their weight has increased a bit. Today, their food is pellets dissolved in water and their favorite mulberry leaves. Every day, I soak them in water for about 15-20 minutes, then change the water and soak them again for about 10 minutes. I dry them and then eat them. I sit and observe their behavior. They are quite naughty. They walk around. Some crawl quickly, some crawl slowly. It looks like they want to get out of this square block. A few days ago, I made a pen for them in front of the house on the cement floor. After they finish eating, I take them to release them in front of the house so they can walk around.

I dressed in gardening gear to protect myself from the sun and scratches from trees. Today I brought the same equipment as before: a hoe and a pickaxe, and a saw. Today I drove the trash to another house and drove to the new garden to make a bamboo fence to keep cows from eating the vegetables I had planted.

A small section in front of the house during the rainy season makes the flowers bloom and the flowers and ornamental plants grow beautifully. It doesn't take much care of them. Don't let weeds disturb these flowers and ornamental plants. And on days when it doesn't rain, water them. Add fertilizer sometimes, just a little, but not much.

I drove back to the garden house to do the same task, which was to cut down bamboo trees. The bamboo trees on the cart were the ones I had cut the day before yesterday to deliver to the vendor to make sticky rice in bamboo. I gradually put the bamboo trees on the cart and then continued cutting down the bamboo trees.

Some bamboos, I decided to cut them all, the whole clump because they disturbed my oil palm trees as I mentioned in my previous post. Cutting bamboo trees requires caution because it can be dangerous. I got a small wound from the bamboo being cut. I left the bamboo cutting for 2-3 days, causing the leaves to fall off. So I put the bamboo leaves on the oil palm trees to decompose into fertilizer.

You will see lots of brown bamboo leaves. This is a very good fertilizer. When there is only bamboo left, it is old bamboo. I use it to surround small oil palm trees to keep out the cows I raise. They like to eat my oil palm leaves. This is my solution. I use fire branches to make a fence to keep out the cows.

Then I cut the bamboo trees that will be used to make sticky rice. I tried to cut all the bamboo trees in the garden, but it took several days because once the bamboo trees are cut down, it is quite difficult to take them out. There are many obstacles, but it can be done.

When we have 1 cartload of bamboo, it's time to drive out and deliver it. This is the atmosphere on both sides of the road: the amount of bamboo per cart. Drive slowly and you'll get there. I don't know how much each bamboo tree costs. I've already delivered about 4 trips, 10+ stalks per trip. And then we reach our destination, unload the bamboo and come back home. Today I'm a little tired. I'm sitting here resting and regaining my strength at the house in the garden before feeding the ducks, finding food for the chickens, and putting the cows in the pen.

It's time for dinner or supper. My wife's cooking. Today, there are 3-4 dishes: sour curry, clear soup, and fried pork. Let's eat together. The weather is very nice in the evening at the garden house. Today, I will end my daily mission here. See you again next time.

There are a lot of bamboo trees around me, but it never occurred to me that sticky rice could be cooked inside the bamboo. Does it taste good? I want to try it.

Sticky rice in bamboo is delicious and has coconut milk in it. Thank You

That’s a lot of work to get these bamboos to the vendor of sticky rice. You need a big dinner to give you more energy!
