Today, I continued working in my small garden. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the garden looking clean, and the most satisfying part is enjoying the fruits of our labor, organic produce grown without chemical fertilizers. It's not only rewarding but also fills our stomachs.
Earlier, I had cleaned an area last weekend to plant new crops. We’ve already planted some new banana and mangosteen trees. Today, I put my energy into making three vegetable beds. We plan to grow leafy vegetables like mustard greens and other types in these beds. Starting with three beds first, we’ll expand if the vegetables grow successfully. This way, we’ll have a steady supply of fresh vegetables for a while. What excites us most is that this is our first time trying to plant in this area. If the crops thrive, we plan to expand even further.
We began the day with a breakfast of chicken noodle soup. After that, I dug and loosened the soil to prepare the vegetable beds. My wife added processed chicken manure, hoping it would make the beds fertile for healthy vegetables. The weather today was bright and hot, with no rain since yesterday, making the soil hard in some spots. Despite this, I managed to finish the beds. A can of 100 Plus during a short break gave me the energy to keep going. My wife went to a nearby shop, about 5 kilometers away, to buy groceries and got me the drink. My stomach felt uncomfortable in the morning, so I hoped the drink would help.
Although I still had energy to work, the scorching midday sun forced me to stop. I had finished the three vegetable beds, which was enough for the first phase. I went home, cleaned up, and sat in front of the TV to watch the much-awaited fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson! Many, including me, had been looking forward to this legendary match. I wondered if Mike could still show his strength against a younger opponent. As a fan of Mike Tyson, I had mixed feelings and just hoped neither fighter would get seriously hurt.rt.
After watching all eight rounds, I felt slightly disappointed. Jake seemed to hold back, not showing his full skills and strength, while Mike looked tired. Maybe it was due to his age, or perhaps Jake realized the strength difference in the first two rounds and chose not to embarrass Mike. That’s just my guess after watching the fight on Netflix.
After the match, I got ready to work in the pineapple area. Only about 30% of the area was done, and there was still a lot of weeding to do. Around 4 PM, when the sun wasn’t as hot, I started weeding there. I didn’t feel very energetic, probably because I was tired from the morning or because my stomach still felt unwell. My wife suggested it might be gastritis since I felt a burning sensation and slight nausea.
Even so, I pushed through and continued working until sunset. I managed to clean at least one row of pineapple plants. It was challenging because there were many large thorny weeds, with stems as thick as my finger. But the row is now cleared and looks much better than yesterday, which is what matters most.
