Christmas Day 2024

The Christmas Holiday came so quickly and now it's another year! Wow! Just like that! ☺️

How did you spend your Christmas day? Did you prepare a lot of delicious food? Did you spend it with your family? Or Friends? Whatever way you celebrated or spent it, I hope you enjoyed every minute of it. We cannot deny that others may not have a merry Christmas, but I still hope that each of us found joy and peace through the season.

May we not forget the true reason for the season which is the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. The greatest gift mankind has received.

How did my family Celebrate Christmas?

We don't usually prepare a lot of food on Christmas day. In previous years, my husband has created a family dish that he prepares during the Christmas season. Our children always request that he cook it during the season. But this year, he did not cook it for Christmas Eve but on Christmas Day.

We prepared another dish for Christmas Eve. My husband cooked buffalo wings while I prepared the Macaroni fruit salad. We also have a very generous friend who gave us three different kinds of salad.

These were the food we enjoyed. I forgot to mention, of course, rice. 😁

Our family always finds joy in simple things. We believe celebration doesn't need to be grand to make us happy.

On Christmas Day, my family went to the mall to buy gifts for ourselves. My children received cash gifts from friends and family so we opted to buy stuff that they really needed.

But before heading to SM City Cebu, we took some silly photos first. 😁

There was no heavy traffic on the road. We thought maybe the people were out of town or just in their homes. But to our surprise, there were numerous people inside the mall. 😂 Long lines in the Cashiers. And so we also joined in. 😂

We went directly to the SM Department store children's shoes section. Our children needed new footwear. We took our time looking around. Checking for styles and PRICES. 😁 The price should be within the budget. We ended up buying two pairs each including me. Thank you to my husband for the new pairs of footwear.

The girls also bought travel pillows since we were scheduled to visit my Papa and siblings in Negros in the following days. I'll write another blog for this one.

After shopping, we went to the Christmas tree area and took several shots with it.

Everyone was taking photos at the front of the tree, so we took photos at the back and the sides. Where no one was blocking our way. 😁 Still the same tree but at a different angle.

After the photo shoot our feet were sore. We headed home. We did not eat at the mall, since we had food prepared at home. My husband cooked our Family Christmas dish in the morning before we left for the mall.

The girls lined up this footwear and pillows and then took pictures of it.

We were so prepared for our next travel adventure! Look at those pillows and footwear!😀 Everyone's happy!
