Visit Wat Pang Sak with religious ceremonies and tradition, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITYyesterday

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. At the early this month, my wife and I had the opportunity to visit Wat Pang Sak. On that day there were religious ceremonies and traditions here too. This temple is along highway 107, Chiang Mai - Fang route in our district. And the temple is about 10 kilometers from our house.
Wat Pang Sak is a large and famous common temple in the district. This temple was allowed to be established as a temple in AD 1931 or 93 years ago. And received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree in AD 1965 or 59 years ago.
When we entered the temple. We saw a large and outstanding buddha image hall (viharn) in the middle of the temple courtyard. This buddha image hall (viharn) is decorated with beautiful stucco patterns. And an entrance staircase with two serpent statues. On the side of the buddha image hall (viharn) there is a large white buddha image.

The inside of the buddha image hall (viharn) is beautiful, decorated with buddhist oil paintings. And the pillars inside are decorated with gold color stucco patterns. Inside the buddha image hall (viharn) there are many beautiful buddha images. Especially the main buddha image, which is a buddha in the attitude of subduing mara in the Lanna art style.

Inside the temple courtyard, there is also a beautiful ordination hall (ubosot) and pagoda.

And there is a Lanna art style pavilion and a Lanna art style bell tower.

In addition other areas in the temple are sections containing the monks' living quarters. That day there were religious ceremonies and tradition and many people went to the temple. This religious ceremony and tradition is held in October every year. I also took pictures of the atmosphere of religious ceremonies and tradition that day. The atmosphere that day was about making merit, paying homage to buddha images, giving the offerings dedicated to the monks and more. The highlight of that day's traditional event was the many Thai traditional dance shows. Which is a Thai traditional dance from the northern of Thailand. There is also a traditional dance shows of the TaiYai people.

These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Please forgive any errors/mistakes. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
