Story of me and my family part 154 : offer food to the novice this morning with the family.

Hello everyone. Offer food to the monks is a tradition that buddhists have been practicing since in the Buddha’s period. Monks or novices hold alms bowls and journey through the villages in the morning. To receive food from people in the village. This tradition is a religious ceremony to make merit and do a good deeds. And dedicating merit to deceased relatives too.

My family and I are Buddhists. Religion for us is faith and respect, but not credulous. So we have been practicing this traditions since childhood. Every sunday morning monks or novices come to our village to receive food. My family and I will prepare food for offer food to the monks almost every week. Today as well, we prepare easy food.

Today my wife has no free time to cook. So we bought food (Ready to eat), sardines in tomato sauce (canned), instant noodles, drinking water and snacks. We choose food (Ready to eat) instead of food (hot food). Because it's convenient and we can buy food (Ready to eat) at the supermarket from Friday. And now, the food (Ready to eat) is convenient and fast in this age.

Food (Ready to eat) : Chicken massaman curry.
Sardines in tomato sauce (canned).
Instant noodles.

We stood waiting to offer food to the monks in front of our home. After a while a novice came to receive our food.

At first we planned to go to the temple as well. But the morning atmosphere with overcast. So we didn't go to the temple today. These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post.
