Participated in religious ceremony and merit-making on Thailand's New Year's Day with my family this morning.

Hello everyone.😊 How are you today? Today I will share and take everyone to see the atmosphere of the religious ceremony (Buddhism) at the temple this morning. Today in Thailand is songkran day and it is also new year's day. And every year, April 15th is new year's day in Thailand. Thai people call this day the thaloengsok day. But in northern Thailand this day is called phayawan day. Which is the new year of northern Thailand as well. And northern Thailand has a tradition and culture called Lanna that is practiced together on new year's day. The traditions and culture of the Lanna people are the traditions and culture of the ancient northern people in Thailand. And on the morning of new year's day, most people will make merit at the temple first. Yesterday so my wife and my wife's mother prepared food, drinks, snacks, flowers, incense sticks and candles to make merit at the temple this morning.

This morning I took my family to the village temple, which is about 2 kilometers from the village. We traveled to the temple to participate in religious ceremonies and make merit on new year's day. This morning there were many people from the village participating in religious ceremonies and making merit at the temple. We placed some food, drinks, and snacks for offer food to the monks on the table in the tent first.

Then I, my wife, my wife's mother, my daughter and granddaughter worship to the buddha image in the pavilion.

After worship to the buddha image. We walked around the temple to make merit at various places in the temple. And offer food to the monks. I will take everyone to see the atmosphere.

Finally, everyone entered the buddha image hall (viharn) to pray, listen to the sermon and receive blessing from the monks. Finished, this morning's religious ceremony for me and my family.
