A day in the life of A Filipino Family Living in the UAE #7: Simple Birthday Celebration!

Hi Hivers!

Good Day to everyone! I hope everyone is doing well. Today I would like to share my husband's birthday celebration last March. This has been the continuation of the months that I have been hibernating from writing my blogs.

How do celebrate your birthday? For us filipino we usually celebrate birthdays and special occasions with our family and friends but since we are living overseas for quite some time now we are accustomed celebrating special occasions with our little family only.

We usually go for staycations in hotel because my kids love swimming and I am always after the breakfast buffets! Ofcourse! who doesn't love food,right?! Also we find that this is also a way for us to destress from life.

Anyway, we celebrated in Grand Hyatt Hotel, Abu Dhabi. The hotel is in corniche road opposite side of the Emirates Palace and very near to the Presidential Palace. I must say that this was one of the beautiful hotels that we been through here in UAE. The room rate is 670 aed/175 usd with breakfast. We stayed on the 16th floor and the view in the balcony was spectacular! This has to be one of my favorites.

They were kind to give to my request for a little cake for my husband's birthday. As for my kids, enjoyed the pool and the beach eventhough the temperature was kinda cold and the wind was blowing a little bit for that day. It was just a simple celebration but it was fun! I think my eldest son really loves it because he has been telling me the memories on that day everytime before we go to bed until to this day. Haha!
