A day in the life of A Filipino Family Living in the UAE #4: Wedding Anniversary Celebration!

Hi Hivers!

Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone. I hope your heart is in a good place. Single people might think that Valentine's might not be for them, but it is a day to celebrate love, and love has many forms. It might not be intimate with another person, but it can be a love with a friend, or a colleague or even with our pets. I do believe love has many forms and it is celebrated not only during the valentine's day but every day.

Speaking of the love month, we just also celebrated our 6th civil wedding anniversary. Hooray! For the ups and down that we have been together. We have been together for 11 years and have been married for 6th years. And we are blessed to have 2 kids (whom we adored).

I might say that my married life has been a journey. Mark (my husband) has been classmate since we are in grade school (Grade 1 to be exact) but we are not that close. Then we became friends in high school and close friends/best friend in college. I thought being married with a friend will make the marriage much easier but married life goes beyond that, it is deeper and more intense. I thought I knew that best friend; but in married life you will discover more of him or her. You compromise as it is not always a lovey dovey days but most of the time it's just happiness. When you found that someone, you make things happened.

Back to our celebration, we just opted to go out for dining outside with the kids. We went again to Abu Dhabi Mall and eat in P. F Changs. We love the food here especially their dynamite shrimp. Yummy! We ordered some pepper steak as well, honey crispy chicken and shrimp dumplings. It was so satisfying and so scrumptious. We went for a quick walk as well, but we were not to buy anything at the mall.

Anyways, I am not expert here I also have fair share of my dumb love moments in life but now I could say that I am definitely happy and contented. Our little family is now my everything.
