Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Weekly 103

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY7 months ago

Hello everybody,

As a mother of 8 children I always reuse and recycle our things to save money at same time support the government project to reduce waste. Like when I buy sardines in the grocery section of the mall I choose sardine cans that have pull tabs. I re use the pull tabs, then the sardine empty cans saved place in a sack when there are plenty of them I let my son sell it to the junk shop about 1 km away from our place. The pull tabs I cleaned, cut and take off the sharp edges using a cutter then I crochet them with yarn made into earrings, necklace and bag. I sell it after for additional income, but first I model it myself.

When any things that was broken I never threw it away I find ways to recycle it like this broken strainer
I cut the broken strainer then crochet a flower attached to it, after I can hung it on the wall clip the clothes clips, I can right away use them.

I also used to buy pre loved clothes that were on sale like for example this top. To make it new I crochet the edgings, when done I have a new top for 10 pesos only, a big savings!

I also reuse old denim pants, I made them into bags or skirt like this.

I cut the pants and attached
what I crochet. I misplaced the pictures of the bags I can't show it here.

Last Wednesday hubby was admitted at the hospital because of high blood pressure and high blood sugar. He have used many IV drips, I brought the used one home after we discharged instead of throwing them on the trash can I cut them so I can plant my hanging plants.

Hubby and me drink alkaline water, I bought 10 liters sometimes 6 liters of ph9 water, when empty I recycle them by converting it into plant pot, I divide it into two.

Recycling ideas are endless but here I'll share lastly empty bottles of mayonnaise I turned it into water planting like this sweet potato for harvesting the leaves only.

That is all I can share for this round thank you much @justinparke.

I like how you use the mosquito incense as your hole maker, haha. In the past I have used a hot nail, but I like your method better.
