One of my favorites. We were actually talking about this fruit in a bar last night and how we almost never see it in Vietnam yet it was everywhere in Thailand. The same is true of Rambutan. The climates are the same between the two places so I can't understand why that is.
On another note there was one time i was opening Mangosteens and there was a centipede living inside of it. I've been a little afraid of them ever since.
Well stranger things do happen. This is the first I've heard of something like this. Just reading it now makes me wary about opening another Mangosteen. But whatever, it sure must have been a very healthy centipede 🤣🤣
Surprised to know from you there are no Mangosteen and Rambutan in Vietnam. But these peculiarities sometimes happen. If you're familiar with durian, this fruit grows predominantly only in the island of Mindanao here in the Philippines. There are hardly any in the other parts of the country. Strange.
