A Morning Beach Walk

Today is Monday and we started to become productive again in everyday's life but aside of that walking in the beach keeps ourselves very relaxing, peaceful and calm. For today's blog, I would like to share some of my pictures about walking at the beach were many different kinds of sea creatures and beautiful sceneries can be seen. Last night, I decided to do Overnight at my Uncle's house and some of my cousins are also there. This morning, as part of my morning routine just like doing simple exercises, I decided to went at the shore walking and exploring the place. Calangahan Coastal areas consists of many kinds of stones and we called it, Pagang. There are only some small portion of the place that contains sands on it. But even if the place are very stony, people can still enjoyed walking and catching more fish and crabs here.

As I keep myself walking at the coast, I seen this young lady busying for finding more seashells and any kinds of sea animals that can be eaten. In local term we called it, "Manginhas" a kind of act on which people searching more seashells, fish, crabs and shrimps under the stones and seaweeds. Every low tide, there are lots of rock pools and seaweeds on the seafloor and it will comes out during low tide and it is expected to have fish or shrimps underneath of it.

One of the sea creature that everyone likes to found is this one. We called it, "Suwaki" in local term. It is a kind of sea animals that contains many sharp and pointed thing surround its body. This is very exotic and expensive food if we brought to the market and mostly it hid under the seaweeds. I tried to eat this kind of sea animals and as I tasted it, this is very delicious and it taste like Fat of a pork. It crawls very fast because of this hundreds of pointed legs on it.

Rock Pools:

This rock pools contains many kinds of fish, crabs and shrimps hidden underneath. Some people dive it in and they use nets by catching small fish. Children also serve this as a swimming pool and they will really have a fun and good time of it. As I observed the place, there are lots of rock pools here in the place because of the different kinds of stones located in the coastal areas. This rock pools was surrounded with many seaweeds and contains many sands of it also.

Fascinating Corals:

As I continued to walked in the place, I also noticed this attractive corals in the shoreline. It contains a unique marks and lines on it and an oval shape of the holes around the stone. The most fascinating and amazed of this are there lots of different kinds of sea creatures hidden below in this stone but I did not distracted it.

This poor coconut trees are already died and withered because of many strong winds happens in this place. It is really expected to have this kind of sceneries: the fruits are already falled down, the leaves are also removed even it is a green one and some of the coconut trees falled down, because of the strong winds. This coconut trees are not intended to plant in here, for many has passed, the coconut fruit that washed away from the river floating in the sea water and ended here and it grows and grows until it produces more fruits that is why it is very dangerous to climb up.

A Big Atipolo Tree:

This big and majestic Atipolo tree helps the place to be not eroded. It grows here for many years already and it gives a cool and shady areas in the coastal areas. The size of this tree trunk is just like a size of a big drum and it grows in the cliff. The land owner decided not to cut this tree down because it gives a very big help to his areas.

A Small Boats use for Fishing:

This are the series of small boats located in the place, I was in the higher ground when I took a picture of it. This small boats are very important to all people here especially the fishermen. They use this so that they can set sail to the sea, casting their nets and catching more fish for business. They set sail every 5 PM and returned home every 12 midnight. Each boats coated with many different kinds of colors of paint so that they can easily identify which one of the boats they owned.

A New excavated Barangay Road:

This is the new Barangay Road here in Barangay Calangahan. This road will lead also in the new beach resort in the place but it is still under construction until today. This will the residents to have their shortcuts going to thier homes and the missing part of this road is the street lights.

This is the overview of the place and I always visiting this place because of this great sceneries. Today, the sea is very calm and many people are also walking in the coast it keeps us relaxing and comfortable before taking our obligations and tasks in Life.
