Hi travelers...
In the city where I live, North Sumatra, there is a very famous tourist destination, even for foreign travelers. That is Lake Toba. According to legend, Lake Toba is a lake that was formed because a man could not keep his promise to his wife, in the end, Toba (the name of the area) sank and left one island, namely Samosir, in the middle of the lake.
If you search for Lake Toba on the search engine you will find many beautiful views. Seen from any side, Lake Toba has a very beautiful and natural view. Green is everywhere and nature is still well preserved.
Lake Toba has many places that must be visited. I think going around every corner of Lake Toba is the same as when you visit every corner in Europe, because Lake Toba is very big. In all my life, I have never even set foot in any place in Lake Toba. There are still places I missed. However, this time I want to share one of the places I have visited with my friends some time ago.
That is Paropo.
Paropo, Lake Toba
Paropo is one of the villages located in the District of Silahi Sabangan, Dairi Regency, North Sumatra. This area is very famous for its natural beauty, also referred to as the most beautiful corner of several other corners of Lake Toba. This angle is also often used by climbers for camping.
If you watch my video, you can see how beautiful Paropo is from above. The scenery in Paropo is very aesthetic and for those of you who want to improve your Instagram feed, come here and take pictures at Paropo like I did.
In addition to camping, visitors who come to Paropo can also fish. There is also provided fishing equipment rental. You can even fish while soaking your feet in the water. That looks fun.
Talking about water, the water of Lake Toba is indeed very beautiful. Just like the mountains overgrown with many types of trees, the water of Lake Toba is also green and very clear. Because the temperature in Paropo is very low, the water becomes cool even on a hot day.
Paropo is located at an altitude of approximately 1,000 meters above sea level. Yes, very high. If you're at the top, the village is very steep. In Paropo there are also historical sites that can be visited. This also makes Paropo a destination for pilgrims.
Another thing that is the most popular in Paropo is the Raja Silahi Fighting. It is a very famous fountain and many people visit because of the coolness of the water.
Besides that, twilight lovers, this is the right place to capture your love with twilight. The sunset from the outskirts of Paropo village is very beautiful. I'm sure you won't regret camping there.
Some travelers who have traveled to various parts of Indonesia will refer to Paropo as the Ranu Kombolo of North Sumatra. I've never been to Ranu Kombolo on Mount Semeru, but I don't agree with that title. For me, there is only one Ranu Kumbolo, and all Paropo has is Paropo. Second to none. Because I believe every place has its own peculiarities. Let Paropo remain Paropo without another name.
This is not my only trip on Lake Toba. I've been here a few times and stopped by a few different places. Of course, I didn't do it at the same time. I'll share it next time.
I hope you enjoy reading each of my posts. Thanks for dropping by.

Wow.... it's a beautiful place.
Come here someday.
Wow, 1,000 meters above sea level, I bet it can get very windy there, and I think also perhaps very cold at night. It is a beautiful place, the water is so clear.
Youre right. Its so very windy and cold at night even in the day, it's cold.
