My favourite food #139

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY4 days ago

Thank you @justinparke for initiating this topic. I was going to skip writing for a day, but decided might as well do it, since i have a goal of achieveing 50k delegation before end of 2025. I don't have a specified favourite food that i can't live without, but some of these are my always fall back whenever i have a choice.

My first place is banana leaf rice from the indian shop. We have many indian shops around in Malaysia. Not all shops serve banana leaf, but if they do, usually they know what they're doing and they serve authentic stuff. Another big reason for me to like this is, i am trying to practice to be a Catholic, i do vegetarian instead of abstain during lent season. So, banana leaf rice is almost full vegetarian as long i dont pick the meat fused curry broth.

"Chee cheong fun" is a Chinese dish we do almost the entire Malaysia, Hong Kong and some part of China. I particularly like this type of sweet and savoury without meat type. Usually they serve this in dark color soy paste, but i preferred the red sauce.

Won Ton Noodle (locally pronounced wantan meen) is yet another classic type of comfort food. It simply means dumpling noodles. I have already got over the part of dumpling, i can go with only BBQ pork and dry noodle. I can do this all day.

Starbucks is a gentle evil. They do a lot of promotion, discounts that make it so "affordable" that if i stop drinking one day, then i will loose that priority. My favourtie drink is caramel maple oat milk iced shaken latte.

Other than that, KFC can never go wrong. This part i dont need to make an announcement. I was one of the most prominent KFC ambassador. Well, that's about all for now. I do have many other favourite food, but these are the kost common food that i do very often.

Oh, eating in a banana leaf is good, it can also give a good smell for the foods on it. Anyways these foods looks really good. That Won Ton Noodle looks really tasty, a good one as a snack or maybe as a breakfast

Yeah. These are some of my favourite foods which I can eat them all day long

I love how you mentioned eating on banana leaves! In the Philippines, we also use them for kamayan (family-style feasting). It adds flavor and has antibacterial properties, making it both tasty and eco-friendly!

I saw your introduction post. You are a very eco girl. Thank you for being part of the earth saver.

Wow! here in Philippines, we also used banana leaf when we have budol fight and I love KFC too.

Yes. It seems like majority of the ASEAN country also practice banana leaf as serving plate.
