The Story of Me: Heartfelt Tales and a Passion for Change

Hi, I’m Dave Jann Aragon, from Caloocan City, Metro Manila, Philippines, and I’m thrilled to connect with you! I’m a Communication graduate with a deep love for storytelling and creative expression.

As a teenager, I was enchanted by musical plays and films. They introduced me to the magic of blending music, emotion, and narrative into a single captivating experience. Watching and studying these art forms fueled my curiosity and helped me appreciate how stories can touch hearts and inspire change.

My passion for human connection extends beyond the arts. I am deeply committed to mental health advocacy and once volunteered with a mental health organization here in the Philippines. During my time there, I supported individuals as a Crisis Line Responder, offering empathy and a listening ear to those navigating difficult times. That experience taught me the importance of compassion, resilience, and the power of simply being present for someone in need.

I also enjoy participating in humanitarian projects. Last year, I helped organize a donation of school supplies to elementary students in a public school in our city, and took part in a cleanup drive. I strongly believe in making the world a better place to live in, and these projects allowed me to contribute to positive change.

Currently, I work as an online English teacher, helping students worldwide improve their communication skills. I’ve also had the privilege of teaching Korean kids in a face-to-face setting, which gave me a deeper appreciation for cultural exchange. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and learning about their traditions and perspectives. Exploring diverse cultures is one of my greatest joys, and I aim to bring that enthusiasm into every interaction.

In addition to all of these, I’m also a Sunday school teacher in our church. Every week, I guide children in understanding the values of kindness, compassion, respect, and, above all, loving God wholeheartedly. Teaching these principles brings me immense joy because I believe they lay the foundation for a brighter, more compassionate future.

As someone who loves learning and exploring new ideas, I consider myself a multipotentialite. Whether it’s diving into a new skill or discovering an unfamiliar topic, I’m always eager to expand my horizons. I’m excited about sharing what I’ve learned while spreading positivity and kindness wherever I go. Let’s connect, exchange stories, and inspire each other to grow.
